Terms of Use
Effective 14 September 2026
Please read this first
Attend is a self-care tool, not medical care. It is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis or treatment from a doctor or mental health professional, and it is not designed to treat any condition. If you are struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or to a professional. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
Breathing exercises change your breathing. Stop if you feel dizzy, light-headed, short of breath or unwell, and never practise while driving, in water, or anywhere you need your full attention. If you are pregnant, or have a heart, lung, blood pressure or anxiety-related condition, or any other condition that breathing exercises might affect, talk to your doctor before using the app.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms of use ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application Attend, published on the Apple App Store and Google Play as Attend: Gentle Regulation (previously Breath Control), and of this website. The app and the website are developed and operated by Tauro Software S.L. ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at hello@taurosoftware.com.
By downloading, installing or using Attend you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the app handles. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Who may use Attend
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to accept these Terms and use Attend. Breathe together is a co-regulation feature: it is used by you, on your own device, and you remain responsible for that use and for anyone you choose to share the moment with.
3. What Attend is
Attend offers guided breathing exercises, a body check-in, prompts for a kind word to yourself, and animal companions to breathe with. It records the breathing sessions you complete and shows them back to you as a meadow that grows with each one. What the app does today, and how it looks, may change over time. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop providing the app altogether, with reasonable notice where we can.
4. Health and safety
The content in Attend is for general wellbeing and relaxation. It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Nothing in the app creates a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship. You are responsible for deciding whether the exercises are suitable for you, and you use them at your own risk. Always follow the advice of your own healthcare professionals over anything in the app.
5. Your account
Attend has no sign-up. When you first open it, an anonymous account is created on your device to keep your session history together. It is tied to that installation; there is no password and nothing to recover. You are responsible for everything done through the app on your device. We may suspend or close an anonymous account that is used in breach of these Terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Attend for any unlawful purpose or in a way that breaches any law or the rights of others;
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense or create derivative works from any part of the app, other than as these Terms or the law allow;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
- interfere with, disrupt or overload the app or the servers and networks it uses, or attempt to gain access to data that is not yours;
- remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices;
- use automated means to access the app or its services other than through the app itself.
7. Your content
Kind words you write and body check-ins you record are yours. They are stored on your device only and never sent to us, so we neither see them nor claim any rights to them. You are responsible for what you write.
8. Our intellectual property
Attend, including its software, design, artwork, animations, sounds, voices, text and the Attend name and mark, is owned by Tauro Software S.L. or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Feedback you send us may be used freely to improve the app, without obligation to you.
9. Prices and purchases
Everything in Attend is currently free. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, any purchase will be made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and will be governed by that store's terms, including its rules on payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds. We do not process payments ourselves and never see your payment details. Prices may change, and any change will apply only to purchases made after it takes effect.
10. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services, such as Google Firebase for anonymous accounts and session storage, and optionally Apple Health and the crash reporting service Sentry, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may affect the app.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Attend available and working, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time. We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the app or any part of it, and we may update these Terms. If we change the Terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where reasonable, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Attend after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Attend at any time by deleting the app. You can delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy, or ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access to the app if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the app. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 4, 8, 13, 14 and 15) will continue to apply after your use ends.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Attend is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will meet your needs, that it will achieve any particular result, or that it is free of defects.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tauro Software S.L. and the people who work on Attend will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the app, however caused. Our total liability for all claims relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose and ten euros (€10).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law. If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these Terms do not affect.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tauro Software S.L. from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the app, to the extent the law allows.
16. App store terms
If you downloaded Attend from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Tauro Software S.L., not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; that Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded Attend from Google Play, Google's terms of service and Google Play's policies also apply.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, and any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Spanish courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country, you keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there.
18. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Attend. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor of the app. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship.
